  • Uccellini’s Op. 4 comprises a hearty mix of 30 sonatas, 30 correntes (a popular Baroque dance genre also known as a “courante”), and 15 arias.
  • The work was first published in 1645 when the composer was serving as head of instrumental music at the Este court in Modena.1
