- Written in 1964, Autumn: Concertino for Harp, Strings, and Percussion is chamber piece evoking the ambience of the season. The piece was commissioned by the Northern California Harpists’ Association for Spanish harpist, Nicanor Zabaleta.
- The chamber work is organized into four movements:
- Salute to the Wind
- Dialogue
- Love Scene
- Promenade
- Autumn premiered in October 1964 in Madrid performed by Zabaleta and the Municipal Orchestra of Valencia. Enrique Jorda conducted.1
