- Takemitsu’s Furyō shōnen (Bad Boy), was composed in 1961, and arranged for two guitars by 1963.1
- Japanese guitarist Norio Sato created this arrangement at Takemitsu’s request.2
- This work premiered on October 1, 1992 in Tokyo at the First International Guitar Festival, performed by Shin-ichi Fukuda and Norio Sato.3
- The music is adapted from Takemitsu’s score to Furyō shōnen (The Bad Boys), a 1961 film directed by Susumu Hani.4
