- Chorale Without Words is a short piece for mixed choir and piano written in 1984.
- In the score, the composer wrote the following detailed notes:
“The choice of a syllable for a choir part is up to the Choir Director, but it should be consistent throughout the piece without change of the consonant. A vowel could be changed by the effectiveness of the dynamics. The size of the choir should be a minimum of 40, or a maximum of 80 singers. The desk of the grand piano must be fully open and the pianist should approach the part dynamically as a solo instrument.”1
