- The complete title of the piece is “Feierlicher Einzug der Ritter des Johanniter-Ordens” (Festival Procession of the Knights of the Order of St. John). The Knights of the Order of St. John were founded in Jerusalem during the First Crusade and helped take care of the poor on pilgrimage.
