- Three Little Waltzes was originally written for solo piano and published in 1906. However, these songs are thought to be among the composer’s earliest works and written while he was a student in Frankfurt.
- The second movement, “Andante languido,” was arranged for violin by Richard Lange.1
- Scott added the following dedication to the piece: “For my little cousins: Dudley, Laurence, and Barbara.”2
