- This concerto comes from a manuscript housed at the Library of the Diocese of Münster.
- The Münster collection consists of manuscripts of works by Scarlatti originally complied by Abbot Fortunato Santini (1778-1861).
- It is possible that Scarlatti composed this concerto for eminent 18th C. flutist Johann Joachim Quantz (1697-1773). The two musicians met during Quantz’s visit to Naples in 1724.1
