- Elfentanz (Elves’ Dance) is a one-movement work for violin and piano. G. Schirmer published the work for the first time in 2020.1
- Price’s compositions, including this one, have taken a new lease on life after G. Schirmer acquired the rights to publication of her compositions in 2018.
- This move by Schirmer came after the 2009 discovery of a cache of lost Price scores in her former home in Chicago.
- Like many of Price’s compositions, Elfentanz blends classical European and vernacular Black music. The piece utilizes a traditional Western minuet-and-trio structure, but with the rhythms of ragtime rather than of the minuet.2
