- Leo Low was a Jewish composer and conductor of choral music.1
- Low studied at the Warsaw Conservatory and subsequently directed several influential Jewish choirs in Warsaw, including the Hazomir Choral Society (Europe’s premier secular Jewish choir), and he served as director of music and resident composer at the Tłomacki synagogue.2
- Low emigrated to the United States in 1920,3 and continued his career as a composer and choral director in New York and in Palestine.4
