- This is piano sonata is No. 35 in Landon’s 1964-6 collection of Haydn sonatas.3
- Original editions of this sonata label it “per clavicembalo” (for harpsichord), so it is likely that Haydn was still thinking of his keyboard sonatas primarily as harpsichord works when he published this one.4
