- This dance has also been published as “Fandango.”1
- Both fandango2 and zarabanda are triple meter dances used in Spain. It is thought that both originated in Spanish colonies of the New World.
- The original Spanish zarabanda was much faster than its descendent, the stately Sarabande we know from Baroque suites.3
