- Glazunov wrote his 3-act ballet Raymonda Op.57 in 1896-7. The ballet was a success at its premiere.1
- Story: set during the Crusades. The plot concerns the love story between Raymonda, a French noblewoman, and de Brienne, a crusading knight, and the Saracen knight who tries to come between them. (Here is the full synopsis but be warned, that this plot has not aged well.)
