- Symphony No. 10 began its life as “Los Paisajes del Rio,” a piece written for the Philip Glass Ensemble as part of the 2008 Expo Zaragoza Spain. In order to make the music more accessible to music ensembles and create more longevity for the piece, Glass later arranged the work for full orchestra.
- Symphony No. 10 is a five-movement work commissioned by the Orchestre Francais des Jeunes and premiered in 2012 at the Grand Théatre de Provence in Aix-en-Provence, conducted by Dennis Russell Davies.1
