  • According to his Grove article, Gaubert’s style is “somewhere between Fauré and Dukas.”1
  • Gaubert originally composed this piece for flute and piano.2
  • This version was arranged by James Galway and it appears on his album Music for My Little Friends.
    • Galway participates in an organization called Flutewise, which provides flute education to children. He recorded this album, featuring many pieces children might like to learn to play, for the children and teachers of Flutewise.3
