  • This work was originally scored for violin and piano. Carl Fischer published it in 1921.1
  • The original cover advertised Elie’s works as “Original Compositions with a Haytian Background.” 
  • Légende Créole is one of Elie’s many works inspired by the Vodou religion. It based on a Haitian song, “Zonbi Ban-n Mannan.”2
