- The “Pomp and Circumstance” March no. 2 premiered in 1901, along with March no. 1 from the set.1
- Pomp and Circumstance no. 2 was dedicated to Elgar’s fellow English composer Granville Bantock 2 (1868-1946). Bantock and Elgar were both conductors and they helped each other by programming each other’s music in their concerts.3
