Composer: CHIAYU
  • According to the composer’s website, Chiayu composed this work for solo harp in 2005. 
  • In 2008, this work won the composition competition associated with the Seventh International Harp Competition (held in Indiana).1
  • This piece was inspired by the writings of naturalist Gene Stratton-Porter (1863–1924), who wrote about the Limberlost swamplands in northern Indiana.2
  • Title: “Huan” is a Chinese character that indicates “images” or “illusions.”3
  • This piece was featured in the 2010 PBS documentary Harp Dreams.4
