- East Anglian Holiday was a 1954 short English travel film. It was one of 30 films that Carwithen scored over the course of her career.1

- In the late 1940s, a program was set up by the J. Arthur Rank production company to recruit and train film composers. In 1947, Carwithen had been the first Royal Academy of Music student recruited to the program.2
- Carwithen also recycled themes from East Anglian Holiday in her Suffolk Suite.
