- Boulanger composed this set of “three pieces for piano” in 1914.1 The manuscript of the first piece is marked “5 juin 1914.”2
- This little set remained unpublished during Boulanger’s lifetime;3 likely simply because Boulanger did not choose to publish it, not because it was rejected by publishers.4
