- Written in 1898, Suite en forme de valses (Suite in the Form of Waltzes) is a cycle of waltzes initially written for orchestra and then arranged for piano and piano four hands.
- The original orchestral publication comprised three movements:
- Ballabile
- Interlude et Valse lente
- Scherzo-Waltz
- A “ballabile” is a dance performed by a corps de ballet without the principal dancers.1
