- Beach’s Op. 53 was published in 1903. The other piece in the set is Beach’s Gavotte fantastique.1
- Beach played this piece often in recitals, both in America and during her residency in Germany.2
- On June 28, 1915, there was a “Mrs. H.H.A. Beach Day” at the Panama-California Exposition in Balboa Park in San Diego. This was the second world’s-fair style event that had ever taken place in California. This piece was one of the Beach compositions performed on this occasion.3
