  • Bach composed this concerto by 1721, when it was included in the set of Six Concerts avec plusieurs Instruments which he sent to the Margrave of Brandenburg.1
  • In this concerto, the concertino (group of soloists) consists of trumpet, recorder/flute, oboe and violin. The ripieno (orchestra) consists of strings and continuo.2
