Perfidia

  • Written in 1939, “Perfidia” (Treachery) is a Spanish song about a man whose lover has left him.
  • First recorded in 1940, the song helped launch the Dominguez’s career. The song was also famously used in the film, Casablanca (1942). It continues to regularly appear in popular culture and has been recorded numerous times by many well-known singers.
