- Piazzolla’s 6 Tango Etudes were initially published in 1987 for solo flute but have since been arranged for many alternative instruments and ensembles.
- These etudes demonstrate the undeniable influence of classical music on the composer, perhaps even calling to mind Bach’s Partitas while still evoking Piazzolla’s mastery of tango.1
