Folk Suite No. 4

Composer: STILL, William Grant
  • Still composed his four Folk Suites for chamber ensemble in 1962.1
  • Still originally scored this suite for flute, clarinet, cello, and piano. Several arrangements (by other composers) for different forces have been published.2
    • The wind quintet version of this suite was arranged by Adam Lesnick.3
  • The folk songs arranged in this suite are from Venezuela, Mexico and Brazil.4
