Concerto in d minor for Two Violins, BWV 1043

Composer: BACH, Johann Sebastian
  • Bach composed the final version of his Concerto in D minor for Two Violins between 1730-31.1
  • Bach originally composed this work when he was working as a court composer for the Prince of Anhalt-Cöthen (probably around 1717).2
  • The version we now have of the Double Concerto is based on an arrangement Bach made in the 1730s in Leipzig for his Collegium to perform.3
