- This flute concerto premiered in Mannheim in early 1778.
- This concerto started life as an oboe concerto (K.271k), composed in 1777 for Italian oboist Giuseppe Ferlendis, who played in the orchestra of Archbishop Colloredo and knew the Mozart family.1
