- Written in 1914, Bonis’ sonata for violin and piano consists of four movements:
- Moderato
- Presto
- Lento
- Finale con moto
- Bonis dedicated the piece to Madeleine et Simone Filon, who were cousins of the composer.1
- Listen for – the theme of the third movement, “Lento,” is based on a Greek folk tune.2
