- The album includes (and was inspired by) Jascha Heifetz’s Gershwin arrangements.2
- Heifetz and Gershwin used to improvise piano and violin duets together in the 1920s. Heifetz asked Gershwin to compose a piece for him, but Gershwin never did (possibly because of his early death).3
- The songs were arranged by Broadway arrangers: William David Brohn and Jonathan Tunick.4
